Vested Financial is a non-profit corporation that provides direct financial management to individuals who seek assistance in the planning and execution of their budgetary needs.
To assist clients in meeting their financial needs, we provide the following:
- Budgeting of government assistance and provide necessary reporting to Social Security for the continued receipt of benefits
- Managing banking, bill paying, daily living needs, and emergency needs
- Assisting clients with referrals and support services as needed
Our goals are met when our clients live comfortably, use their benefits for their primary needs, and can be a vital source in their communities.
What is a Representative Payee (Rep Payee)?
Social Security’s Representative Payment Program provides financial management for the Social Security (SSI, RSDI) payments of our beneficiaries who are incapable of managing their Social Security payments. What are the duties of a Rep Payee?
- Determine the beneficiary’s needs and use his or her payments to meet those needs;
- Save any money left after meeting the beneficiary’s current needs in a bank account for the beneficiary’s future needs;
- Report any changes or events which could affect the beneficiary’s eligibility for benefits or payment;
- Keep records of all payments received and how you spent and saved them;
- Provide benefit information to social service agencies or medical facilities that serve the beneficiary;
- Help the beneficiary get medical treatment when needed;
- Report any changes that would affect performance or continuing as payee;
- Complete written reports accounting for use of funds; and
- Return any payments to which the beneficiary is not entitled.
Is There a Fee for This Service?
There is a set fee per month to provide this service as set by the Social Security Administration.
